Thunar Custom Actions as root

You add a new Custom Action by select Edit -> Configure custom actions...
Press on + button.

Edit file as root

Under Basic
Type a name: Edit as root
Type in Command: gksu mousepad %f
Choose an icon, for example mousepad

Under Appearance Conditions
Type in Filepattern: *
select Text Files
Click OK
Click Close
When you right click on a text file can you select "Edit as root"

Open terminal as root

Under Basic
Type a name: Open terminal as root
Type in Command: gksu /usr/bin/Terminal --default-working-directory=%f
Choose an icon, for example gksu-root-terminal

Under Appearance Conditions
Type in Filepattern: *
Select Directories
Click OK
Click Close
When you right click on a directory can you select "Open terminal as root"

Open directory as root

Under Basic
Type a name: Open directory as root
Type in Command: gksu thunar %f
Choose an icon, for example system-file-manager

Under Appearance Conditions
Type in Filepattern: *
select Directories
Click OK
Click Close
When you right click on a directory can you select "Open directory as root"

Install Salix/Slackware package

You need the sinstallscript see below.
Under Basic
Type a name: Install package
Type in Command: gksu /usr/sbin/sinstallpkg %n
Choose an icon, for example tgz

Under Appearance Conditions
Type in Filepattern: *.tgz;*.txz
select Other files
Click OK
Click Close
When you right click on a tgz/txz file can you select "Install package"
Unpack the sinstallpkg.tar.gz in /usr/sbin/ directory (Downloaded 666 times)
Make it executable, run in a terminal as root
chmod +x /usr/sbin/sinstallpkg
